Celebrating 10 Years of Little Puddins

Today, 15 August, marks a very special milestone, Little Puddins turns 10.

A decade ago, I began this journey to share my family’s lived Autistic experiences, practical strategies, and free resources to support communication, inclusion, and understanding. Over the years, Little Puddins has become a trusted space for parents, educators, and professionals seeking neuroaffirmative, Autistic-led resources.

To celebrate this milestone, I am giving away my original Communication Passport design, the very first resource I created for Little Puddins all those years ago.

What Is an Autism Communication Passport?

A Communication Passport is a personalised, easy-to-read profile that shares essential information about a person’s communication style, needs, preferences, and strengths. It is an invaluable tool for ensuring consistency and understanding across home, school, and community settings.

Why I Am Giving This Away for Free

Little Puddins has always been about removing barriers. For me, the most important part of this anniversary is giving back to the families, schools, and professionals who have supported this journey. By making the original Communication Passport free to download, I hope it will help more Autistic children and young people have their voices heard, to ensure they are accepted just as they are in every setting.

My New Role at Flourish Autism Consultancy and Training

As Little Puddins enters its second decade, I am also stepping into an exciting new chapter. I have been appointed as Director of Autism Advocacy and Professional Practice at Flourish Autism Consultancy and Training, an Autistic-led organisation providing neuroaffirmative training, consultation, and resources across Ireland and beyond.

Through my role at Flourish, I am available to:

  • Deliver Autism and inclusion training for schools, early years settings, and organisations

  • Provide one-to-one and group consultations for families and professionals

  • Support with visual supports, communication tools, and inclusive strategies

You can learn more and book training or consultations through Flourish Autism Consultancy and Training here.

Why Communication Passports Matter for Schools and Families

Whether in the classroom, at an after-school activity, or meeting a new teacher for the first time, a Communication Passport can:

  • Provide immediate insight into how a child communicates best

  • Prevent misunderstandings that could lead to anxiety or dysregulation

  • Strengthen relationships between the child, school staff, and family

  • Promote consistency and inclusion across environments

Schools and families can use this free Little Puddins Autism Communication Passport to start conversations, ensure understanding, and celebrate each child’s individuality.

Thank You for 10 Incredible Years

Over the past decade, Little Puddins has grown from a small blog into a space that has reached thousands of families, educators, and professionals. Every download, every message, and every shared story has helped create a community built on compassion, understanding, and practical action.

Here’s to the next chapter, thank you for being here with me and my gorgeous Puddins Hailey, Conor, Jack and Max.
